Explore the Applications of Lavender Essential Oil (Bulgaria) for Skin, Fragrance, Hair and Mosquito

Lavender essential oil (Bulgaria) derived from Lavandula Angustifolia has got recognition as true lavender due to its exotic strong floral aroma. Lavender oil has been regarded as useful in various aspects. It offers multiple therapeutic benefits as an anticonvulsant, antiseptic, analgesic, anti-depressant, decongestant, emmenagogue, antiviral, hypotensive, antispasmodic, and antirheumatic essential oil. Lavender oil is blended in multiple skincare, products, and perfumes for its aroma and wellness benefits. It is useful in the following ways,


Lavender oil for skin


  • Lavender oil helps treat acne breakouts, unclog pores, and reduce inflammation. It can be used as a facial toner. Mix two drops of lavender oil in a 5 ml witch hazel, soak a cotton ball in it and clean the face with this cotton ball. Or, mix 2 drops of argan oil and a drop of lavender oil and apply it to the stubborn pimple.

  • The oil soothes dry, itchy, and scaly skin that may appear on different parts of the body. For this, mix two drops of lavender oil, 2 drops of aloe vera oil, and 5 ml jojoba oil. And apply it to the affected skin area.

  • Lavender oil reduces dark spots & discoloration and blotchiness & redness. Blend 2 drops each of the oil, bergamot oil, and 5 ml argan oil, apply it to the face or other skin surface.

  • The oil helps heal wounds, scars, cuts, and burns. Mix two drops of lavender oil and 2 ml aloe vera oil. Apply it to the affected areas for quick healing.


Lavender Oil for Hair


  • The oil promotes hair growth and helps in treating alopecia and pattern baldness. Add 2-3 drops of the lavender oil to the regular hair oil and massage it in the roots of hair and scalp.

  • It prevents or repairs itchy scalp with its antimicrobial properties. Its combination with grapefruit oil and sweet almond oil works well for dandruff and itching.

  • Lavender oil can also be used as an ingredient in hair serums and masks to condition and prevent hair breakage. Apart from that, it can be used in making fragrant hair spray.



Lavender oil for Fragrance


Lavender oil emits a strong characteristic floral scent that can be added to body mists or directly applied to the underarms, earlobe, wrists, and behind knees. Its combination with bergamot oil or cedarwood essential oil goes well for perfumes. For this, mix 20 ml lavender hydrosol, 10 drops of bergamot oil, 15 drops lavender essential oil (Bulgaria), and 30 ml vodka. Fill the mixture in a spray bottle and use it as and when required after shaking it well.


Use lavender oil as an Insect Repellent


  • Lavender oil can be applied to insect bites for relief and it can be used as an insect repellent.

  • Make a room spray by mixing 10 drops of lavender oil, 5 drops of citronella essential oil, 20 ml bergamot hydrosol, and 30 ml distilled water and spritz it in the corners of the room, on curtains, and linen. Alternatively, add 3 drops of lavender oil and 2 drops of melissa leaf oil to the water in a diffuser for repelling mosquitoes.

  • For insect bite, mix 2 ml coconut oil and 2 drops of lavender oil and apply it to the insect bite.


Varieties of Lavender Oil


Besides, Bulgarian lavender oil, spike lavender essential oil, lavender (Grosso) essential oil, and lavender hydrosol are also available. Spike lavender has a sharper camphorous scent than true lavender. The Bulgarian lavender essential oil manufacturers also offer other varieties of lavender oil in bulk to the users.
